Day One

We depart Inverness at 8.am and travel the full-length of majestic Loch Ness; thus, a great start to our Isle of Skye Tour from Inverness.

The world-famous Loch is home to ‘Nessie’ or the ‘Loch ness Monster’ as she’s sometimes known.

Perhaps the most photographed castle in Scotland.  Eilean Donan Castle has featured in many movies and TV shows, including  ‘Highlander’ and ‘James Bond’ to name only a couple. One of my favourite folklore tales is of the origins of the Castle and travelling the glen telling you the story is something I always look forward to.

Another great Skye legend is the actual making of the pinnacle known as the ‘Old Man of Storr’

The ‘Quiraing’

Kilt Rock 

Mealt Water Fall and Kilt Rock, are a wonderful example of Skye’s Jurassic landscapes, and an impressive waterfall which plummets into the ocean.

When the wind blows, the Bag Pipes’ ghostly rasp can still be heard echoing from the Faerie Kingdom’s deep chambers.
